The First Presidency Shares New Year’s Messages of Faith and Hope

In a New Year’s Day social media message, President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints commemorated the 25th anniversary of “The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles.” Reflecting on the impact of this landmark document, the prophet invited Latter-day Saints to draw closer to Jesus Christ by visiting temples frequently.

On January 2, 2025, President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency shared a post highlighting the significance of Christmas and Easter. He encouraged everyone to look forward to Easter and the message of a universal resurrection as we enter a new year.

On January 3, 2025, President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency shared a message about enduring life’s challenges with faith and hope. He emphasized that the true test from a loving God was not merely to endure difficulties, but to endure them well.
