Latter-day Saints and their neighbors in São Paulo were invited to participate in a fair in December 2012 with several volunteer organizations.
During the three-day fair, more than 2,000 people were drawn to the Mormon Helping Hands booth, which featured information on self-reliance, storage of food and other necessities, neonatal resuscitation, baby kits and wheelchairs.
People attending the fair were impressed and complimentary of the Church for its efforts to help during times of emergencies, community clean-up and beautification throughout Brazil.
This story is featured on the Church’s Brazil Sala de Imprensa country website. The website is one of 52 throughout the world.
