A Mormon Helping Hands crew worked in Ishinomaki, Japan, in March 2012 to shovel mud out of an elderly couple's home. The woman featured in the story is the couple's daughter. She tells the story of her brother, who died after the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March 2011.
Her brother was running from the tsunami with his two small children, but they didn't make it. She said she felt grateful, however, because, unlike many other people whose families are still missing, her family was able to find the bodies of her brother and his children — still holding on to each other.
