Other Requirements

Dress and Grooming Guidelines

Dress should be conservative in style and not detract from the message of the music. Vivid or bright hair colors (blue, purple, pink, etc.) are not allowed. Further details about the wardrobe guidelines and color schemes will be provided after acceptance into the choir.

Memorization

All participants will be required to have their music memorized before the dress rehearsal. For some, this will mean more personal rehearsal time at home. Those who do not have music memorized at the dress rehearsal will be invited to be an alternate.

How to Apply

Click “Apply” to fill out the application and submit an audition.

Each family member applying will need to fill out a separate application form.

Video record your audition using a smartphone. Please do not submit a recording with digital manipulation (autotune or reverb, etc.), as we want to hear your natural, unaltered voice. We would like to see your face in the recording.

Remember, we are looking for voices that can blend in a choir, so even if you are normally a soloist, you should demonstrate proper choral technique in your recording.

Audition Instructions

In your recording:

  • State your full name.
  • Sing your voice part (soprano, alto, tenor, or bass) along with the hymn recording (instrumental version) for the first verse.
  • Before sharing your video link or audio file, please review it to make sure we can hear you more than the recording.
