The Second Annual Religious Educators Conference

This annual event brings together educators and S&I teachers from across the globe. Hosted on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, the conference will feature:

  • Keynote address by Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Thursday, June 12, at 6 p.m. (MDT), at the Conference Center Theater in Salt Lake City
  • Opening session with Elder Alvin F. Meredith III, president of Brigham Young University–Idaho, and Elder Clark G. Gilbert, Commissioner of the Church Educational System, on Friday, June 13, at 8:30 a.m., in Provo

This conference is an opportunity for educators worldwide to come together, share best practices, gain insights into the needs of youth and young adults, and access valuable teaching resources.

Elder Gilbert highlighted the importance of active learning when he said, “Deep learning requires more than just passive listening. We need our students to lean forward and be engaged learners. One of the ways this happens is when students are allowed to share what they are learning with others. If you know you’re going to be expected to share what you are being taught, you prepare differently” (“The Power Is in Them,” S&I Annual Training Broadcast 2025).

How to Study
