Elder Clark G. Gilbert of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will dedicate the Cody Wyoming Temple on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
The dedication will be at 10 a.m. (rebroadcast at 2 p.m.) and will be broadcast to congregations in the temple district.
In the weeks leading up to the dedication, the public is invited to tour the temple. The open house will begin with a media day on Monday, August 24, 2026. Tours for invited guests will be held on August 25 and 26, followed by general public tours from Thursday, August 27, through Saturday, September 12 (excluding Sundays).

President Nelson announced the Cody Wyoming Temple in October 2021.
Nearly 67,000 members in over 170 congregations call Wyoming home. This will be the third temple in the state. The Star Valley Wyoming Temple was dedicated in 2016, and the Casper Wyoming Temple was dedicated in 2024.
Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints differ from meetinghouses or chapels, where members and friends of the Church meet for Sunday worship services. Each temple is considered a “house of the Lord,” where Jesus Christ’s teachings are reaffirmed. In the temple, Church members can seek peace and guidance, learn more about the purpose of life and make covenants to follow Jesus Christ and serve their fellow men and women.
