Elder Jairo Mazzagardi

Elder Jairo Mazzagardi was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 3, 2010. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a sealer in the Campinas Brazil Temple. He was released and given emeritus status on October 1, 2016. 

Elder Mazzagardi is an entrepreneur and retired owner of Cummorah Real Estate.

Elder Mazzagardi served as a member of the Brazil Area Presidency. Prior to serving as a General Authority Seventy, he served in numerous Church callings, including counselor in a bishopric, high councilor, counselor in a stake presidency, stake president, regional representative, president of the Brazil Salvador Mission (1990–1993), Area Seventy, presidency of the Campinas Temple, and president of the São Paulo Brazil Temple.

Jairo Mazzagardi was born in Itú, Brazil, on April 10, 1947. He married Elizabeth Ienne in July 1970. They are the parents of three children.
