Over 900,000 Latter-day Saints reside in the Philippines, meeting in almost 1,400 congregations.

There are six operating houses of the Lord in the Philippines, three of which those in Alabang, Bacolod and Davao were dedicated in 2026. Additional dedicated temples are located in Cebu City, Manila and Urdaneta.

The Cagayan de Oro and Tacloban City Philippines Temples are under construction, and the Iloilo, Laoag, San Jose del Monte, Santiago and Tuguegarao City Philippines Temples have been announced. The Naga Philippines Temple was announced in 2022.

In October 2025, President Dallin H. Oaks spoke about the purpose and blessings of worshipping in temples.

The sealing powers of the priesthood, directed by the keys restored in the Kirtland Temple, bring families together for eternity, he said. They are currently being exercised in a growing number of temples of the Lord throughout the world.

Temples differ from the Churchs meetinghouses (chapels). All are welcome to attend Sunday worship services and other weekday activities at local meetinghouses. The primary purpose of temples is for faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ to participate in sacred ceremonies that unite families forever.
