Bolivia: Church Donates Food Kits to Support Families in Need  

A donation of 2,500 food kits helped more than 1,200 hospital patients in La Paz, Bolivia, as well as families, shelters and elderly care centers.   

The humanitarian aid included rice, flour, oil, sugar, noodles, tuna, lentils and beans. The supplies were donated by the Church of Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in cooperation with Bolivia’s Ministry of Health and Sports.  

“The most important commandment is to love our neighbor,” said President Carlos Vásquez, leader of the La Paz Bolivia Miraflores Stake.

Jamaica: Church Strengthens Healthcare Through Hospital Donations 

Medical equipment was donated by the Church to Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston and Savanna-la-Mar Hospital on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Kingston, Jamaica. 

The donations included fetal monitoring and ultrasound equipment for maternal and neonatal care, cardiac monitors, hospital beds, infusion pumps, stretchers and other essential medical equipment. 

Training for healthcare professionals was also offered in collaboration with Food for the Poor Jamaica.

Argentina: Wheelchairs Donated to Support People with Disabilities 

On Friday, June 19, 2026, the Church donated 1,500 wheelchairs and orthopedic equipment to CILSA in Santa Fe, Argentina, to expand access to mobility aids for people with disabilities and others in vulnerable situations. 

The Argentine Red Cross, Church members, and CILSA staff worked together to unload the donated equipment, building on more than 20 years of collaboration between CILSA and the Church.

Malawi: Donation Improves Learning Conditions 

During a handover ceremony held on Friday, June 19, 2026, in Malawi, the Church dedicated new classroom facilities at Magwero Primary School, including a two-classroom block, a four-classroom block with administrative offices, a new water system, 18 sanitation facilities and 250 double-seater desks.  

“Our humanitarian efforts are an expression of His commandment to love one another and care for those in need,” said Church representative Vincent Chimtengo. “Through projects like this, we seek to bless lives, strengthen communities and help individuals reach their God-given potential.” 

The project improves learning conditions for more than 600 students by expanding access to quality education and reducing overcrowding.

Paraguay: Donation Expands Maternal and Infant Care 

The Church of Jesus Christ donated surgical equipment to the Reina Sofía Maternal and Children’s Hospital of the Paraguayan Red Cross in Asunción, Paraguay, on Friday, June 19, 2026. 

The donation included operating room lights, a surgical table, an anesthesia machine and other specialized equipment that will strengthen maternal and infant healthcare. The equipment will also provide surgical care to thousands of women, mothers and newborns each year.

Austria: Young Adults Serve Homeless Community  

On Friday, June 12, 2026, young adults from the Church visited a facility for the homeless in Gänsbachergasse, Austria, where they organized a barbecue for the residents. 

“Together we can give hope — one meal, one conversation and one open heart after another,” said project organizer Philipp Nussbaumer. 

Grilled food, salads, cakes and drinks were made for around 250 people. Residents engaged in conversation and laughed together during the event.

South Korea: Church Donation Leads to New Training Facility 

Supported by the Church’s humanitarian funding, the Jeonnam Developmental Disability Welfare Association in Suncheon, South Korea, held a groundbreaking on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, for a new vocational rehabilitation training facility. 

The facility will help people with developmental disabilities gain job skills and work toward independence. It will provide modern equipment; training in areas such as baking, product assembly and packaging; and a safe learning environment.

“Thanks to the support of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel happy that a stepping stone has been laid for people with disabilities to step into a wider world,” said Kim Kyung-Eun, a vocational training instructor.

Peru: Humanitarian Aid Delivered to Families 

Volunteers of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Peru delivered 60 food kits and 120 blankets to more than 120 families in the high Andean communities of Capacchapi and Labraco, Peru, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Volunteers also met with local leaders and families to offer messages of hope.

England: Youth Gather to Assemble Hygiene Kits 

Around 1,500 young adults from 24 countries gathered at Turf Moor in Lancashire, England, during the Church’s annual Europe Young Single Adult Conference on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. 

Volunteers completed a large-scale service project by packing a six-month supply of food for local families in need and assembling more than 1,500 hygiene kits for women and children. The project supported three charities: Lancashire Women, SafeNet and Burnley FC in the Community. 

“One of our goals in bringing these young adults together was to give them a chance to be the answer to someone else’s prayer,” said Elder Mark Dundon, an Area Seventy in the United Kingdom. “We wanted them to feel that every item packed would then go on to reach a person in need. We believe that is the spirit of the ministry and gospel of Jesus Christ.”
