The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the open house and dedication dates for the Pago Pago American Samoa Temple and the groundbreaking date for the Vienna Austria Temple.

All rights reserved.A media day for the Pago Pago American Samoa Temple will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, followed by tours for invited guests on Tuesday, November 3. The public is invited to tour the temple from November 4 through November 21 (excluding Sundays).
Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedication on Sunday, December 13, 2026. The dedicatory session will be broadcast to all congregations in the Pago Pago American Samoa Temple district.
Over 17,600 Latter-day Saints call American Samoa home, meeting in 44 congregations. Announced in 2019, this will be the first temple in American Samoa.

Groundbreaking services for the Vienna Austria Temple will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Elder Michael Cziesla of the Europe Central Area Presidency will preside at the event.
As previously announced, this temple will be located at Silbergasse 2, Vienna, Austria. Plans call for a 15,300-square-foot, multistory building, constructed on a 0.80-acre site.
More than 4,700 members of the Church reside in Austria, meeting in 17 congregations. This will be the first house of the Lord in the country. The Vienna Austria Temple was announced in 2021.
