Pacific: Auckland Latter-day Saints Thank Catholic Leaders
A common love for Jesus Christ was shared recently between members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local Catholic Church leaders in Auckland, New Zealand.
Maurice Melligan, a young Mormon missionary, said, “We wanted to thank Bishop Dunn (the Most Reverend Patrick Dunn, Bishop of Auckland) and others from the diocese for their warm welcome extended to our young people who attended the recent World Youth Day event.

Malaysia: Church Charity Distributes Thousands of Wheelchairs
Since 2008, LDS Charities has donated more than 3,600 wheelchairs for disabled people in Malaysia.
The Church works with partner organizations in many countries to match the best wheelchair to each recipient. An example of this work involves Jamali Bin Janit, who lives near Muar on Malaysia’s western coast.

India: Yard Work, “Let’s Do It Again”
Mormon youth from 12 to 18 years old as well as members in their 20s enthusiastically participated in yard work in a New Delhi, India, park. More than 40 Latter-day Saints pulled weeds, trimmed bushes, swept, removed debris and beautified the community park.
“I learned how to work in the garden,” said one teenage girl. “It was not an easy job, but it was really nice and I enjoyed it a lot.” The youth enjoyed the activity so much that they were ready to do it again.

South Africa: Mormons Honor National Leader by Performing Service
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined with fellow countrymen in July to give 67 minutes of service in honor of former national leader Nelson Mandela on Saturday, July 18, 2015, in their communities.
Mandela gave 67 years of humanitarian service; he passed away in 2013, leaving a legacy of love, service and reconciliation. Latter-day Saint Marilyn Nhlapo remarked how much service can be provided in 67 minutes. “We had made up 100 school kits, 50 hygiene kits, unpacked and folded 26 handmade quilts, and completely refurbished a jungle gym and cleaned up gardens.”

French Polynesia: Mormon Youth Taught How to Make the Best Choices in Life
The Church’s young people, ages 16 to 18, in French Polynesia, recently attended a five-day conference aimed at teaching them how to stay spiritually strong in a challenging world.
They learned from their local Latter-day Saint leaders that providing service to those in need is serving God and personal happiness is achieved by doing good unto others.

Thailand: A Curriculum of Service
Latter-day Saint youth in Bangkok, Thailand, met earlier this year to receive counsel on how to help their families and others in the community.
Instruction for the youth, ages 12 to 18, came out of the Bible and other scriptures. They worked together and developed ways to serve and be closer to God.
