New 2023 Leaders Called to 5 Church Historic Sites — From Cove Fort to New Zealand

The couples will begin their service early 2023

The St. George Tabernacle is pictured in St. George, Utah. Not long after the establishment of St. George, Brigham Young directed settlers to construct a building where they could worship. The tabernacle was completed in 1876.

 
The following couples have been called by the First Presidency to lead the work in various Church history sites. They will begin their service early next year.

Martin Reed Balls and Pamila Rae Hochstettler Balls, five children, Rhodes Valley 2nd Ward, Kamas Utah Stake: Cove Fort, succeeding President Dean Edwards and Sister Lana Edwards. Brother Balls is an elders quorum ministering secretary and a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, branch president, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Alaskan Canadian Mission. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Fern Sorenson Balls and Frederick Lynn Balls.

Sister Balls is a ward Relief Society presidency counselor and a former stake Primary president, stake Young Women presidency counselor, Young Women adviser and Primary teacher. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio, to Bessie Edwards Hochstettler and Francis Laverne Hochstettler.

Dennis William Fors and Linda Sue Goodrich Fors, four children, La Canada 1st Ward, La Crescenta California Stake: Nebraska and Iowa Historic Sites, succeeding President Richard Bennett and Sister Patricia Bennett. Brother Fors is a California Arcadia Mission presidency counselor and a former high councilor, stake and ward Young Men president, bishop and missionary in the Guatemala and El Salvador Mission. He was born in Los Angeles, California, to Mary Lois Sims Fors and Allan Oscar Fors.

Sister Fors is a stake JustServe coordinator and a former stake and ward Relief Society president and counselor, ward Young Women president and counselor, ward organist and choir director. She was born in Los Angeles, California, to Hilda Ann Charles Goodrich and Herbert Thompson Goodrich.

Brother Forsyth is a high councilor and a former stake presidency counselor, stake Young Men president and missionary in the Belgium Antwerp Mission. Sister Forsyth is a ward Relief Society president and a former family history missionary, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president and early-morning seminary teacher. She was born in Boise, Idaho, to Dixie Lou Ransdell Janss and David Sloan Janss.

April Francis (Ken) Williams and Marilyn Williams, five children, Lake Rotoroa Ward, Hamilton Glenview New Zealand Stake: Matthew Cowley Pacific Church History Centre, New Zealand, succeeding Elder Hori Turi Elkington and Sister Jo-Ena Adelle Elkington. Brother Williams is a stake patriarch and missionary at the Matthew Cowley Pacific Church History Centre, and a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the Hawaii Mission. Sister Williams is a stake Relief Society president and missionary at the Matthew Cowley Pacific Church History Centre, and a former ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary presidency counselor and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Whangarei, New Zealand, and her parents are Bertha and Richard Dunn.
