Since August 2019, Latter-day Saint women around the world have been asked to submit questions during an event called Sister to Sister held during the BYU Women’s Conference. Many of the submitted questions deal with challenging topics that weigh heavily on the hearts and minds of women around the world.
A handful of questions were addressed and answered by the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary general presidencies during the event. However, there wasn’t time to answer them all.
To answer more of these questions, the editors of the Gospel Library digital publication YA Weekly, have teamed up with the Young Women, Primary, and Relief Society general presidencies and advisory councils, and other young adults to write monthly articles.
“We have received thousands of questions from faithful women about the deepest concerns of their hearts, Relief Society General President Jean B. Bingham said, “One of the ways we hope to address some of these questions is with articles published in the new Sister to Sister series in the YA Weekly digital magazine.”
This new English-only series has already addressed questions such as:
- Along with being a mother, what can I contribute to the gospel of Jesus Christ as a woman?
- With the world becoming increasingly dark, how can we have hope and joy?
- How can I keep my faith strong when others are leaving?
- How do I recognize revelation from God?
- How can I feel God’s love when mental health is a constant struggle?
“We want every woman — whatever her circumstances — to feel God’s love and to know that she is a valued member of the Church and kingdom on earth,” President Bingham said.
The monthly articles in YA Weekly can be found online or in the Gospel Library app under the Young Adult Audience and the Church Magazines section.
