The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the locations of the Campo Grande Brazil, Goiânia Brazil and Medellín Colombia Temples and released a rendering of the Spanish Fork Utah Temple.
Worshipping in temples is central to Latter-day Saint beliefs. Speaking about the principle to “begin with the end in mind,” President Dallin H. Oaks has emphasized the importance of the house of the Lord in God’s plan for His children.
“For us, the end is always on the covenant path through the temple to eternal life, the greatest of all the gifts of God,” he said.

All rights reserved.The Campo Grande Brazil Temple will be built on 5.6 acres at the intersection of Nelly Martins Avenue, Cigana Street, and Rio Negro Street in Carandá Bosque, Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. Plans call for an 11,300-square-foot, single-story temple.
Over 1.5 million members of the Church reside in Brazil, meeting in around 2,000 congregations.
The dedicated temples in Brazil are the Belém, Brasília, Campinas, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo Brazil Temples.
Five temples are under construction in the country, and an additional seven have been announced. The Belo Horizonte Brazil Temple will be dedicated on August 16, 2026.
The Campo Grande Brazil Temple was announced in April 2025.
Goiânia Brazil Temple

All rights reserved.The Goiânia Brazil Temple will be built on a 5.54-acre site at the intersection of Rio Verde Avenue, Captain Breno Street, and Professor Hélio França Boulevard in Loteamento Faicalville, Goiânia, Goiás. Plans call for an 18,850-square-foot, single-story temple.
This house of the Lord was announced in October 2023.
Medellín Colombia Temple
The Medellín Colombia Temple will be built on a 3.05-acre site located at Carrera 52#4-96, Guayabal, in Medellín, Colombia. Plans call for a single-story temple of 10,471 square feet and an accompanying ancillary building.
Over 220,000 Latter-day Saints call Colombia home, meeting in around 260 congregations.
This will be the fourth house of the Lord in the country, joining the Barranquilla Colombia Temple and the Bogotá Colombia Temple. The Cali Colombia Temple is under construction.

Utah is home to nearly 2.2 million Latter-day Saints. Including the Spanish Fork Utah Temple, there are 32 temples in the state, either in operation, under renovation, under construction or announced.
The Spanish Fork Utah Temple was announced in April 2025.
Latter-day Saints worship in temples for several reasons: to feel God’s love and peace, to learn more about God’s plan for His children and the gospel of Jesus Christ, to make promises with God and with one’s husband or wife, and to participate in sacred ordinances that, through the power of Jesus Christ, allow families to be united in this life and the next.
