On March 29, 2025, health authorities, municipal representatives and leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were recognized for their generosity to the Equiza Hospital in Estación González Catán, a province in Buenos Aires.
During the ceremony, attendees toured the facilities and observed the impact of a donation from the Church, which included delivery beds, fetal monitors, advanced incubators and an ultrasound machine. This equipment will significantly improve the care provided in neonatology, obstetrics and childbirth at the hospital, where an average of 80 babies are born each month. Thanks to the new infrastructure, mothers can go through labor, delivery and recovery in the same bed, optimizing both comfort and medical care.
Hospital Director Dr. Mariana Migliorisi, stated, “We are achieving things we never imagined we could do.”
Dr. Leandro Jolín, head of neonatology, said, “Thanks to the Church, we are well equipped to provide care to the community that needs it.”

Dr. Migliorisi also expressed her enthusiasm for the recent blood donation campaigns organized in collaboration with the Church. “We are extremely grateful for the recent blood donation and eagerly look forward to the next event,” she said.
This project, which began three years ago, represents an ongoing effort of cooperation between the Church and the local health care system in Argentina. It reflects the commitment of both institutions to the well-being of families and newborns in the community.
This donation is part of 100 service projects being carried out in celebration of the 100-year anniversary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America, reaffirming the Church’s commitment to strengthen communities, support those in greatest need and follow the example of service set by Jesus Christ.
