Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will participate in a worldwide broadcast on July 13, 2025, honoring the sacred restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood and commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Young Men organization.
The broadcast will be from the Historic Priesthood Restoration Site in Harmony, Pennsylvania. Elder Andersen, President Lund and five young men will walk the paths in Harmony where the Aaronic Priesthood was restored to the earth through John the Baptist’s visitation to the Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery, followed by Joseph and Oliver’s baptisms. From this humble beginning, millions across the earth now act in the name of Jesus Christ, blessing families, individuals and the entire Church.
Local leaders may choose to gather young men as ward or stakes to participate in this commemorative event. This pre-recorded broadcast will be available for download from the Gospel Library and on Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org beginning on July 2, 2025, to help leaders prepare. This event may take place on Sunday, July 13, or another date as determined by local leadership. Please note that this is an updated date than what was previously announced.
The event will begin with the video featuring Elder Andersen and President Lund. After the video, local leaders are encouraged to organize a “reflect and review” exercise, where young men can reflect and write down their thoughts and insights, discuss as a group, and record actions they each will take.
The broadcast will be published in American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese, Mandarin (spoken), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Samoan, Spanish and Tongan. Closed captioning is available in select languages.
