In response to this emergency, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in coordination with the country’s National Border Service (SENAFRONT), supported a humanitarian relief project that provided immediate aid to affected families by donating 2.6 tons of food and purified water.
On Christmas Day, food kits, personal hygiene items and stoves were delivered to the community. These supplies were transported by boat, ensuring their prompt distribution among the affected families. The collaborative effort between the Church and SENAFRONT not only provided material relief but also delivered a message of hope and support.
