Mormon Youth Will Ask Apostle Questions in Live Chat Event

5 May 2015

Youth around the world will be able to ask questions to Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his wife, Susan, in a live social media forum on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, beginning at 6:00 p.m. MDT.

The Bednars have issued a video invitation.

Youth can join the Face to Face youth event on the Church’s Youth Activities web page, the Mormon Channel YouTube site and the LDS Youth Facebook page. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #LDSface2face to join the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Some Mormon congregations are also using the event as a youth activity.

"Every question that we'll attempt to respond to will belong to every young person participating all over the world.” said Elder Bednar. "We're not going to have a particular theme; we simply hope to be responsive to your questions."

“Even if we’re not physically together, we’re tethered together through technology,” added Sister Bednar.

The youth can submit questions before and during the event by commenting on the Church’s Youth Activities web page. Questions submitted so far range from dating to what is it like to be an apostle or apostle’s wife to how to stop friends from “cussing” to asking about a favorite hymn, scripture or painting.

After the live event, the conversation can be viewed anytime on the Church’s Youth website and Facebook page.
