Building height: Vertical height above ground is 140 feet, crowned with a gilded angel Moroni statue

Exterior features: Exterior stone: Branco Siena granite from Brazil. Art glass: Made in Kelowna B.C. by Warren Edis of Glass Artist 

Interior features: Flower motif:  British Columbia’s provincial flower, the Pacific dogwood, is used in decorative painting, carpet sculptures, and furniture fabrics. Color scheme:  Green, light blue and soft gold, reminiscent of the natural colors in the sea, sky and evergreens of the Pacific Northwest. Interior stone: Primary flooring, Cream Marfil from Spain; accent stone, Sarah Beige from Pakistan. Woods:  Majority of interior wood, beautifully grained Makore hardwood from Africa’s west coast; lighter wood is maple. Chandeliers: Schonbek with Swarovski Crystal from Austria. Bronze door hardware:  Custom designed evergreen motif by Linda Marshall and Stan Watts. Murals: Giclee print from Leon Parson’s original in Idaho

When dedicated, this temple will be the 131st operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide, and the 7th in Canada. The Vancouver British Columbia Temple will serve some 22,000 Latter-day Saints in 91 congregations throughout British Columbia and northern Washington state.
