Announcement of Temple Dedication Dates in Chile and Colombia

Second temple in both countries

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released open house and dedication dates for the Concepción Chile and Barranquilla Colombia Temples.

Concepción Chile Temple

A free public open house will begin Saturday, September 15, and conclude on Saturday, October 13, 2018. No tours will be available September 16, 23, 30 and October 7.

              

A devotional for the youth in Chile will be held on Saturday, October 27. Details will be released later for time and location. The Concepción Chile Temple will be dedicated the following day, on Sunday, October 28, in three sessions at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The dedication will be broadcast to all congregations in Chile.

This will be the second temple in Chile. The Santiago Chile Temple was dedicated in 1983 and rededicated March 12, 2006.

The temple is located at 1525 Pedro de Valdivia in Concepción, Chile.

Barranquilla Colombia Temple

The free open house will be held for public tours Saturday, November 3, 2018, through Saturday the 24 except for November 4, 11 and 18.

                             

Youth are invited to attend a devotional especially for them on Saturday, December 8, 2018. The temple will be dedicated on Sunday, December 9, in three sessions at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The dedication will be broadcast to all congregations in Colombia.

The temple rises from a hill overlooking the Magdalena River, which is the largest river in Colombia.

This will be Colombia’s second temple. The Bogotá Colombia Temple was dedicated April 24, 1999. Today there are more than 185,000 Latter-day Saints in Colombia.
