Single members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ages 18 to 25 from the U.S. and Canada are invited to audition to serve as performing missionaries helping with musical and stage productions in Historic Nauvoo, Illinois, in 2024.

Audition applications for band members, stage performers (singers and dancers), and production technicians are due October 17, 2023.

Performing missionaries are selected by audition and then called and set apart as service missionaries. Young single adults who have returned from teaching missions are encouraged to apply. As with any mission assignment, performers are required to be temple worthy. They commit to live by missionary standards and follow a rigorous schedule of preparation, rehearsal and performances.

The 2024 season will include opportunities for performers to serve in Nauvoo in one of two casts:

  • Summer cast (includes dancing in pageants and Nauvoo Brass Band) serves May 1 – August 7.
  • Fall cast (includes dancing in pageants) serves June 26 – October 16.
