The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Caribbean Area has launched a campaign to foster love for one’s neighbor, follow Jesus Christ, and promote Christian principles and values.
The campaign titled “It’s Time to Answer the Questions of the Soul,” with the hashtag “#It’sTime,” invites reflection and an invitation to search for answers to fundamental questions about our existence.
“This campaign is a response to friends of the Church, opinion leaders, the media and the general public, who always asked us: When will you place Church ads again like the ones we saw in the 1990s, which promoted love, respect and the importance of family, among other values? That was one of our motivations for this campaign,” said Luis Navarro, the director of communications for the Church’s Caribbean Area, “to once again present messages that help and guide in the situations we are currently experiencing.”
Using digital and printed billboards, television ads, social media and a website (followjesuschrist.org), the initiative addresses the following questions:
- Why does God allow evil and suffering?
- How can I strengthen my relationship with my loved ones?
- Why should I attend a church?
- I feel alone, does God answer my prayers?
- Does God exist?
- How can I be a better person?
- How can I find peace in times of crisis?
- Will there be life after death?
- Is it possible to be forgiven?
- How does God communicate with me?
The initiative runs throughout August and early September and in 27 countries and five territories of the Caribbean Area. Materials have been translated into Spanish, English, Creole, French, Dutch and Papiamento.
