Church Leaders Share the Love of Christ in Europe

President Freeman and Sister Wright minister in five countries

Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman and Sister Amy A. Wright of the Primary General Presidency have concluded a weeklong ministry tour across Europe. Over seven days, the leaders in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met with Saints and civic leaders in five countries.

The week began with devotionals in Berlin and Rome. Each focused on the divine potential of the rising generation.

“When God says that He has a great work for us to do, He also has gifts for us to accomplish that great work,” said President Freeman. “Remember that God will speak to you.”

In Rome, Sister Wright’s devotional was conducted by local children. Her message focused on helping children learn to feel the Spirit and grow their relationship with Jesus Christ. The devotional was filled with stories, scriptures, drawing activities and songs.

In Warsaw, Poland, President Freeman met with humanitarian project collaborators and discussed their work and goals.

“When we serve others, we see them as [God] sees them,” said President Freeman.

Meanwhile, Sister Wright traveled to Zurich, Switzerland, and met with Church members and friends. Her presence underscored the Church’s efforts to foster respectful dialogue and build bridges across Europe.

The two leaders reunited in Lyon, France, where they led combined devotionals for youth and children. Sister Wright testified of the divine potential in every child. President Freeman invited members to consider how the Savior ministered and healed, regardless of what else was on His to-do list.

Concluding in Brussels, Belgium, the leaders led a series of devotionals, bearing witness to the impact and power of congregations and communities in a diverse and dynamic region. They encouraged members to be examples of the Savior in their homes, schools and cities.

Throughout the tour, President Freeman and Sister Wright focused on nurturing faith, strengthening families, and serving communities — teaching that everyone has a sacred role in preparing the world for the Savior’s return.
