Church Provides Additional Missionary Statistics

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released its 2013 statistical report in the Saturday, 5 April afternoon session of general conference, which includes missionary numbers. Because several media outlets have requested missionary statistics beyond 2013, the Church has released the following update:

  • Total number of missionaries serving: 85,039 (as of March 31)
  • Number of those who have received calls: 14,375 (as of March 31)
  • Number of those that are working with their stake president or bishop or are somewhere in the process:  6,306 (as of March 31)
  • Number (or percentage) of Sisters and Elders:  64% Elders, 28% Sisters, 8% Seniors
