A missionary choir from Northern Utah area will perform October 5 during the Saturday evening session of the October 2024 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Eligible missionaries are invited to apply and audition by July 19, 2024.
Eligible Missionaries
Those who are eligible include:
- Church Headquarters missionaries
- Temple Square missionaries
- Service missionaries in the Davis, Salt Lake and Utah county areas
- Missionaries who will arrive at the Provo Missionary Training Center between August 21 and September 25 and will still be in training there through October 5, 2024.
Attendance is required for all rehearsals and performances; those who miss one or more rehearsals may be moved to alternate status.
Rehearsal Schedule
- All missionaries:
- September 29, 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m., Provo MTC
- October 1, 5:30 p.m.–9:15 p.m., Provo MTC (rehearsals, break, MTC devotional)
- October 2, 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Conference Center
- October 5, 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Conference Center
- Layton and Salt Lake missionaries: Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Salt Lake City (beginning August 28)
- Utah County missionaries: Sundays, 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Tuesdays, 8:15 p.m.–9:15 p.m., Provo (beginning August 27)
- MTC missionaries: a detailed schedule will be shared with those who are selected.
Other Requirements
Missionary dress is required for rehearsals and performances. Elders who are chosen to participate will be required to wear a full suit with jacket for conference, regardless of what clothing requirements your mission has specified.
All participants will be required to have their music memorized before the dress rehearsal. For some, this will mean more personal rehearsal time at home. Those who do not have music memorized at dress rehearsal will be invited to be an alternate.
