Tickets for the 2022 production of “Savior of the World: His Birth and Resurrection” in the Conference Center Theater in Salt Lake City are available beginning November 1. For the first time in the event’s history on Temple Square, the tickets are free.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m. tickets can be obtained online at TempleSquare.org/events or by calling 801-570-0080 (locally) or toll-free 1-866-537-8457. There is a limit of four (4) tickets per order. Children ages eight and older are welcome at all performances. (Note that tickets are now sold out but standby tickets may be available.)

Opening night is Friday, November 25. The two-hour performances will run Tuesdays through Saturdays through Friday, December 30, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. The two Saturday matinees are at 2 p.m. On December 24, the matinee performance begins at noon, and there is no evening performance scheduled.

“Savior of the World” is a two-hour musical production based on the events surrounding the birth and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Each year, Latter-day Saint actors, members of other Christian faiths, and individuals from all races and ethnic groups are invited to audition and perform.

Permission to mount local productions of the 2-hour sacred musical drama was approved in December 2006. Scripts, musical scores for the 38 musical numbers, as well as details and suggestions for casting, costuming, props and set design are available on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. The drama may be performed in its entirety or as two individual acts for either an Easter or Christmas performance.
