VIDEO: Helping Refugees — Easy as Riding a Bike

A new video for the LDS Charities’ “Give Back” series shows a Boy Scout troop teaming up with the International Rescue Committee in Arizona to build bikes for refugees in need of better transportation. In addition to building the bikes, the Scouts work one-on-one with refugees to teach them how to ride — a bonding experience the boys will never forget.

This and other videos seek to give Latter-day Saints and others ideas of how to help refugees in their communities since the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued letters in October 2015 and March 2016 that encourage members to reach out.

In the coming weeks, we will share more examples of how Latter-day Saints are easing the burdens of refugees around them.
