Latter-day Saints in California Complete Suit Delivery

Thousands of people lost everything during last year’s Camp Fire in California. Residents in the city of Paradise escaped the wildfire with just the clothes they were wearing. Their homes and everything inside were turned to ashes.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints responded by facilitating clothing for them through donations by Men’s Wearhouse and JoS. A. Bank that were coordinated by the nonprofit organization Working Wardrobes.

The clothing was gathered, delivered by Knight Transportation and placed in a Yuba City, California, warehouse owned by Sunsweet Growers. A second suit give away was held in Chico.

Hundreds of people took advantage of the offer to pick up suits, shirts, pants and other clothing items.

Newsroom wrote a story in January detailing the service project. Go to Giving Thanks — The Power of One, the Miracle of Many
