Colombia: Wheelchairs Are Life-Changers
Residents in five Colombian communities received a donation of 50 wheelchairs from the Church in September. Delivery of the wheelchairs also came with training on how to use and maintain them.
The local governments of Ibague and Cundinamarca worked with the Church in coordinating the much-appreciated wheelchairs delivery.

Australia: Mormon Teens Bring Food and Warmth to Canberra Homeless
Mormon youth in Canberra, Australia, recently gathered together to make freezer meals and tie fleece blankets for the homeless in their community.
The teens cooked up enough Italian vegetable soup and Bolognese sauce to feed about 200 people. The food was frozen, packed and delivered to the Red Cross Road House for future use by families who are experiencing hardships. The youth also cut and tied 18 fleece blankets, which were donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society to help some of the community’s homeless stay warm.

Australia: Mormon Teens Serve Sydney Homeless
Youth from Bankstown, Australia, volunteered to spend part of their weekend visiting and serving the homeless in downtown Sydney. The youth and their leaders visited areas of Wolloomooloo, where they distributed food, clothing and blankets to those in need.
The teens were so touched by interacting with people who had so little in terms of material possessions that many of the teens volunteered to give away their own scarves, beanies and snacks.

Chile: Church Welfare Services Donates Eye Scanner
An advanced digital eye scanner has been donated by Welfare Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help the many thousands of people in need.
The Reference Center for Health Salvador Allende Gossens of Pudahuel, Chile, received the new equipment, which will serve more than 300,000 patients. The scanner will provide better and faster attention to the visually impaired.

Albania: Albania First Lady Discusses Humanitarian Projects With Church Leaders
Albania’s first lady, Odeta Nishani, discussed ideas for humanitarian efforts in her country with local Latter-day Saint leaders. The leaders gave her a book highlighting the Church’s ongoing humanitarian projects throughout Albania.
In addition to talking about humanitarian possibilities, the leaders shared information with the first lady about the various programs and values in the Church from which all families may benefit.
