Canada: Interfaith Community Cleans Montreal Neighborhoods
Five Canadian religious organizations joined together for a day of cleaning Montreal neighborhoods in May.
Latter-day Saints worked with the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Montreal, the Eco Quartier Notre Dame de Grace (NDG), the Quebec Jewish Coalition for the Environment (TEVA) and the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism.

Brazil: Local Mormon Leadership Discusses Religious Freedom With São Paulo Archbishop
Religious Freedom Day was celebrated in São Paulo last month, and representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints discussed the topic with Dom Odilo Scherer, Catholic Archbishop of São Paulo.
The religious leaders agreed that they need to be vigilant in the protection of religious freedom not just in Brazil but throughout the world. The International Religious Liberty Association holds festivals to express gratitude to countries which honor religious freedom.

Kenya: LDS Charities Helps Spinal Injury Patients
Africans suffering from spinal injuries are receiving help to become mobile again through a partnership between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Association of the Physically Disabled in Kenya (APDK).
Patients are receiving wheelchairs to help them move around and to help them with their family, work and other priorities.

Guatemala: Latter-day Saints Provide Support for Guatemalan School
The mayor of Guatemala City and the community council have worked with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to improve facilities at the Canton Xechivoy School, located on the south shore of Lake Atitlán in Santiago, Guatemala.
The school provides opportunities to improve the lives of its students, who have various disabilities and handicaps.

Santo Domingo: People in Santo Domingo Receive Free Medical Help
A meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently served as the location for a free medical clinic for people of limited income.
Assisting the Church were the Christian Association Women of Charity, Christian Medical Foundation Yiret and the Lions Club.

Pacific: Latter-day Saint Student Nurses Serve Fijians
Brigham Young University nursing students, on a four-hour layover to their destination of Tonga, stopped in Fiji to serve people in need by utilizing their medical training.
The 13 students, rather than staying at the airport or sight seeing, chose to support Fiji’s Ministry of Health by staffing free health screening for some of the residents of a small community.
