Following is a list of newly created stakes and stake presidencies of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from around the world.

NOTE: When a new stake is created or a stake presidency is reorganized in an existing stake, leaders are given time to report the changes and provide brief biographical information for each member of the new stake presidency. A list of stakes reporting changes is compiled and published at the end of each month. The actual date of the stake’s creation or reorganization is in parentheses following the name of the stake.

New Stakes

A new stake has been created from the Buenos Aires Argentina Escobar and Buenos Aires Argentina Sarmiento stakes. The Buenos Aires Argentina Pilar Stake, which consists of the Del Viso, Derqui, Pilar, Tortuguitas, Villa Verde and Vucetich wards, was created by Elder Joaquin E. Costa, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Oscar Bedregal, an Area Seventy.

BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA PILAR STAKE: (April 14, 2024) President — Andres Martin Ortega, 43, FamilySearch Latin America help and records manager; wife, Mariana Alejandra Di Giovanni. A new stake has been created from the Logandale Nevada Stake. The Logandale Nevada West Stake, which consists of the Cottonwood, Hinckley, Meadow Valley, Muddy River and Pioneer wards, was created by Elder Jonathan S. Schmitt, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Jonathon W. Bunker, an Area Seventy.

LOGANDALE NEVADA WEST STAKE: (May 5, 2024) President — Chad Driscoll Leavitt, 50, Eagle View Contractors owner and president; wife, Tonia Cinnamon Coffman Leavitt. A new stake has been created from the Ikot Akpaden Nigeria and Ikot Akpatek Nigeria stakes. The Onna Nigeria Stake, which consists of the Ikot Nkan and Ukpana branches and the Asong, Ikot Anang 1st, Ikot Anang 2nd, Okom and Udo wards, was created by Elder Jörg Klebingat, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Patrick Appianti, an Area Seventy.

ONNA NIGERIA STAKE: (March 17, 2024) President — Imoh Augustine Gideon, 49, farm owner and One-Call Global Ventures managing director; wife, Mira Imoh Gideon. A new stake has been created from the Placer Philippines District. The Tubod Philippines Stake, which consists of the Bacuag, Claver, Mainit and Matin-ao branches and the Alegria, Bad-as, Kitcharao, Placer and Tubod wards, was created by Elder Yoon Hwan Choi, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Mernard P. Donato, an Area Seventy.
