A collection of messages of hope and inspiration for women from Gordon B. Hinckley, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been compiled in the book One Bright Shining Hope.
As with three of President Hinckley's recent books - Way to Be, Stand a Little Taller and Standing for Something - he focuses on positive results that come from living a Christ-centered life.

- "Rise to the great potential within you. I do not ask that you reach beyond your capacity. I hope you will not nag yourselves with thoughts of failure. I hope you will not try to set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. I hope you will simply do what you can do in the best way you know how. If you do so, you will witness miracles come to pass."
- "You need never feel inferior. You need never feel that you were born without talents or without opportunities to give them expression. Cultivate whatever talents you have, and they will grow and refine and become an expression of your true self appreciated by others."
