Over One Hundred Tornadoes Afflict Southern and Midwest United States

More than 100 tornadoes in 12 separate states between 29 February and 3 March caused widespread damage and power outages in affected communities in the Southern and Midwest United States. Forty-nine deaths have been confirmed, and thousands of homes have been severely damaged or destroyed.

The Church is assisting affected communities by providing hygiene kits, generators, cleaning kits and other basic supplies. Local Church leaders continue to assess needs and will be contacting officials in affected areas to determine opportunities to assist with response efforts. Church members have already begun to assist with cleanup. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this disaster.
