The Puebla Mexico Temple will begin welcoming the public to come and participate in the open house beginning March 29, 2024.
A media day was held for journalists from more than 20 local and national media outlets on Monday, March 25, while religious leaders, government officials, and community leaders will tour the temple through Thursday.
The media began with a press conference attended by Elder Hugo Montoya and Elder Sean Douglas of the Mexico Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as Elder Juan Pablo Villar, assistant executive director of the Temple Department.
"We have just built a temple in this beautiful state of Puebla, which will open its doors to the public from this Friday, March 29, until April 20," said Hugo Montoya, Mexico Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
"It fills us with joy to have a new temple, and we want to share it with everyone, so we invite all our friends who are not of our faith to get to know it," Montoya said. "We believe that the bonds of love that bind spouses and parents and children can endure beyond this life, and that is what the temple is all about," he said.

The Puebla Mexico Temple will be open to the general public from March 29 through April 20, except on Sundays and on Saturday, April 6 due to the worldwide general conference of the Church.
The temple will be dedicated on Sunday, May 19, 2024, by Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Temples provide a place where members of the Church of Jesus Christ make promises to God. They are also the place where we receive the highest sacraments of the faith, such as marriage and "sealing" or the union of families forever.
The Church of Jesus Christ has more than 43,000 members in Puebla. Once operational, this temple will serve Church members in Puebla, Tlaxcala, and the surrounding region.
Church President Russell M. Nelson announced the construction of the Puebla Mexico Temple during the October 2018 general conference. Construction began on November 30, 2019.
