Residents of New Caledonia continue to suffer the effects of last December’s torrential rains. The island’s small communities of Houaïlou and Yaté have been the grateful recipients of aid from Mormon Helping Hands volunteers.
The Pacific island is located near Australia and New Zealand just above the Tropic of Capricorn.
Mormon Helping Hands volunteers are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). Members from the community of Noumea, New Caledonia, continue to respond with food and other relief supplies to the residents of the communities.
The aid has been greeted with smiles and hugs.
