RootsTech has created new digital tools to help participants — both online and in-person — have a better user experience as they engage in the global, three-day family history conference, scheduled for February 29 through March 2, 2024.
RootsTech introduced its new session scheduler, its RootsTech 2024 mobile app and plans for a new live chat feature in a FamilySearch news release on January 29.
Attending RootsTech Online
For those following RootsTech online, the 2024 scheduler allows attendees to preview hundreds of classes and events; filter by day, skill level and speaker; and craft a personalized online watch list.
Attending RootsTech in Person
The new RootsTech 2024 mobile app provides the following features for those attending the event in person:
- Session schedules — to see updates on the latest sessions, times and locations.
- Customizable schedule — to help find and schedule classes and sessions for personal interests, research goals and availability.
- Interactive maps — to assist navigate the Salt Palace Convention Center.
- Networking opportunities — to connect and network with other attendees.
- Real-time support — to communicate with RootsTech staff and receive instant assistance.
- Local exploration — to access information on recommended local eateries and accommodations within walking distance.
New Live Chat Feature
On February 29, the opening day of the conference, RootsTech.org will launch a new live chat feature that will enable online and in person participants to watch classes and chat with other viewers in real time.
