The activity, which took place from September 23 to October 31, 2024, was organized at the request of Chorrillos mayor Fernando Velazco and had the support of Roxana García, who is in charge of citizen awareness.

Approximately 60 volunteers from the Chorrillos y La Campiña stakes stakes located in southern Lima participated in this initiative destined to promote the use of FamilySearch mobile apps. Through a series of sessions at the municipality’s facilities, volunteers helped the public and municipal workers creating their own accounts and learn to use the apps.

Manuel Otero, president of the La Campiña stake, presented the mayor with a four-generation chart of his ancestors.
