The World Report of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be released this Wednesday, October 2, 2024, on Newsroom in 11 languages. The program will be available on the Church Newsroom YouTube channel and will air on the Church satellite system during and beyond general conference weekend. It will also air on Saturday, October 5, on BYUtv at 9 a.m. MDT and KSL-TV at 1 p.m. MDT.
Coverage includes a video report on the newly renovated Church Office Plaza and adjoining Main Street Plaza, part of the on-going Salt Lake Temple renovation project. While certain areas of Temple Square remain closed, visitors can enjoy the rich tapestry of foliage and flowers and artisan stonework on the plazas.
“It’s an oasis from the storms of the noise and chaos [where you can] feel the presence of the Savior,” said Jay Warnick, ground services manager for Church Headquarters Facilities.
A shorter version of the video will be included in the October 2024 edition of the World Report — a semiannual program that highlights news and activities of the Church since the previous general conference.
This episode of the World Report will feature the 100th birthday celebration of President Russell M. Nelson, humanitarian efforts led by the Relief Society General Presidency, updates on houses of the Lord and other inspiring stories from around the globe.
