Hindus, Sikhs, Jews, Catholics and representatives of other faith groups joined with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently to tour three different faiths’ places of worship.
Casey City residents from a wide range of religious groups visited the Yin Yan Buddhist Temple, St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church and the Pakenham meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
At each building, local members of each group or congregation provided to guests basic information about core beliefs and practices of the religion.
The tours were organized by the Casey City Multi-Faith Network. Vice president of the interfaith network, Pam Mamouney, said “the event was open to all members of the community and would promote understanding of other faiths.”
