Two ambassadors to the United States visited Salt Lake City, Utah, and met with leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the last week of February 2024.

Australia Ambassador
Australia’s Ambassador to the United States and former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd met with members of the First Presidency on Wednesday, February 28. Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was also present at the meeting.
Malaysia Ambassador
The following day, the First Presidency and Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met with Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz, the ambassador from Malaysia to the United States. The ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Haflin Binti Saiful Azhar, and their 7-year-old son.
During his visit to Utah, the ambassador also met with state Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson and BYU President C. Shane Reese.
