The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomed Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, Ulugbek Lapasov, to Temple Square on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Mr. Lapasov was joined by Uzbekistan First Secretary Otabek Khojimatov. Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was also present.

During his visit to Utah, Mr. Lapasov also visited the Church’s Humanitarian Center, a Brigham Young University devotional featuring Elder Bednar, Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson and the Utah State Senate floor.
