The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is inviting youth ages 11–18 of all faiths worldwide to create original artistic expressions that illustrate how Jesus Christ is their strength.
Creative works such as music, dance, poetry, painting, sculpture and other forms of artistic expression can be shared throughout the year on social media using the hashtag #AllThingsThroughChrist or at local Christian youth activities.
Additionally, youth who would like their creative work to be considered for the Church’s Youth Music and Arts Festival broadcast should submit their work online by May 22, 2023. This pre-recorded broadcast will become available on August 15, 2023, and can be used at any time to supplement local activities for youth. Instructions for submitting original work can be found at youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
The theme scripture Latter-day Saint Youth are focusing on in 2023 is “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). This theme encourages youth to look to Jesus Christ as their source of strength in all they do. Each year, the youth theme is the focus of For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences and also may be used in weekly activities, camps and Sunday lessons to unify the youth of the Church.
“Our Savior and His Atonement are our most important trail marker, our greatest source of strength as we make our way through life,” said Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles during a worldwide devotional broadcast on January 29, 2023.
