Broadway Star Joins Mormon Tabernacle Choir for Satellite Media Tour

Tony award-winning singer and performer Brian Stokes Mitchell conducted on-camera conversations with media outlets across the United States Tuesday promoting the DVD release of Ring Christmas Bells.

Joining Mitchell, musical director Mack Wilberg and members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir provided mini-concerts for anchors and reporters from Denver, Detroit and Orlando. NBC, FOX and Associated Press were also represented.

The nearly 10-year-old Conference Center in Salt Lake City was the originating location for the interviews. A dozen interviews were conducted over a three-hour period beginning at 5:30 a.m.

The 2008 concert was recorded live and will be broadcast on PBS during December 2009.
