Raleigh North Carolina Temple

Plans to construct the temple were announced 3 September 1998, Church leaders broke ground 6 February 1999, and Gordon B. Hinckley, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1995 to 2008, dedicated the Raleigh North Carolina Temple 18 December 1999. The temple serves Latter-day Saints in North Carolina.

The 10,700-square-foot temple’s exterior is Danby white marble.

Currently, there are more than 20 temples in various stages of construction or have been announced throughout the world.
