2021 BYU Women’s Conference

The 2021 BYU Women’s Conference, cosponsored by Brigham Young University and the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be available beginning Thursday and Friday, April 29–30, 2021.

The annual conference, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary, has historically been considered one of the largest gatherings of Latter-day Saint women in the world. The conference will be entirely online this year and will include both free and paid experiences, according to a BYU announcement.

The 2021 Theme is “I Am a Child of God. His Promises Are Sure.” Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Melanie Rasband, will speak at one of the seven free sessions at BYU Women’s Conference.

All women and men ages 16 and older are invited to participate. 

The free sessions also include the Sister to Sister event and five other sessions with presidency members from organizations of the Church. These sessions will be available in English with closed captioning and translation in Spanish and Portuguese. No registration is required for the free sessions. Viewing options will be available later this spring.

Conference sessions will include topics such as:

  •   “Exceeding Great and Precious Promises”  
  •   Fostering understanding and unity in a divisive world
  •   Preparing children to live in a world of wondrous diversity
  •   Understanding differences between shame and guilt
  •   Seeing yourself in the Abrahamic covenant
  •   Encouraging women to speak out and speak up
  •   Fostering relationships with loved ones during faith transitions

Forty prerecorded sessions — 35 in English and five in Spanish — will be available from April 29 to September 30 for $59. Registration began Friday, January 15, at womensconference.byu.edu/registration.

The BYU Women’s Conference committee is seeking original musical compositions or arrangements related to the 2021 conference theme, “I am a Child of God. His Promises are Sure.” Submissions will be accepted through March 1, 2021. Further details about music submission are on the BYU Women’s Conference website.
