Church Universities and Colleges

Brigham Young University, Brigham Young University–Hawaii, Brigham Young University–Idaho, Brigham Young University–Pathway and LDS Business College* exist to provide an excellent secular education reinforced with the ideals and religious principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

All students attending these schools, including those of other faiths, sign an honor code agreeing to maintain the highest standards of honor, integrity, morality and consideration of others in personal behavior. These standards include using clean language, attending church services regularly, abstaining from sexual relations outside of marriage and not drinking alcoholic beverages or smoking.

Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah

Brigham Young University was established in 1875. The current president is Kevin J. Worthen. Enrollment is approximately 33,500.

Brigham Young University–HawaiiLaie, Hawaii

Established in 1955, this is per capita the most internationally diverse campus in the nation, with more than 74 countries represented. John S. Tanner is the current president over a student body of approximately 2,500 students.

Brigham Young University–IdahoRexburg, Idaho

Previously known as Ricks College (established in 1888), BYU–Idaho became a four-year university in 2000. The university is led by Henry J. Eyring and has an enrollment of approximately 18,000.

BYU–Pathway, 500 locations worldwide

This is a program that gives students a gateway to a college degree. Students can also access online certificates and degree programs through BYU–Idaho. BYU Pathway was created in 2017 and is established in 500 locations around the world, with some 45,000 students in 145 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Clark G. Gilbert is the current president.

LDS Business College, Salt Lake City (*institution name and degree offerings will change on September 1, 2020)

This institution, led by Bruce C. Kusch , offfers one- and two-year vocational programs. Established in 1886, LDS Business College enrolls between 1,800 and 2,000 students.each semester.
