    Anticipated Church Growth

    Misstatement:

    Church spokesman Michael Otterson was misquoted regarding the growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "We're growing by 2.5 million members a year."

    Fact:

    While the growth of the Church throughout the world is impressive, we are actually growing by approximately 350,000 new members each year.
