Choir Leader Arranged Music for Presidential Funeral

Two hymns performed at President Gerald Ford’s funeral on 2 January 2007, were arranged by the associate director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Mack Wilberg was notified on 29 December 2006 that his arrangements of “O God, Our Help in Ages Past” and “Eternal Father” would be performed by the combined Armed Forces Chorus and the Marine Orchestra at the president’s funeral.

“I was honored to be asked and I was honored to be able to do it,” said Wilberg.
