Youth share their experiences through social media at Face to Face event

Youth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints watched the worldwide Face to Face broadcast with President Henry B. Eyring and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland on Saturday, March 4, 2017. The event’s main topic was prayer (the Church’s youth theme).

Along with the two apostles, there was a live audience of about 60 teens and two youth moderators at the event, which originated from the historic Joseph Smith Farm in upstate New York. Youth groups from England and South Africa also participated through video conferencing.

It's live! ❤ What amazing men who guide us. I love and sustain them with all of my heart. I feel so inspired, and the spirit of God fills my heart when I listen to them humbly bear their testimonies and share what God wants us to hear and know. We live in such a privileged time on this earth to have so many resources open to us like this, so that we can be connected with God's servants and people all around the world. ❤ @ldsyouth #ldsface2face  Update: That was the most wonderful thing I have heard in a long time. It was like a mini general conference! #ldsconf I feel so much peace, and it purely uplifted me and inspired to me do good. I feel like we should share those kind of feelings whenever we get the opportunity. I'd like to share a few of my favorite parts real quick. (I took notes) -If we understand and take advantage of the atonement, we will become comforted, meek, forgiven, lowly of heart, grateful, and filled with the Holy Spirit. -You will know the atonement has worked in your life when you have no desire to do evil, but to do good continually. -Be hard working. Life isn't easy, but enduring to the end is worth it. -Don't underestimate your family on the other side of the veil - Giving up is never an option -There Will be opposition in all things. Always pray. That's exactly what Satan doesn't want you to do. -"Nothing wavering" (James 1:6) means nothing wavering in your determination and faith. -And last but not least, my favorite: You are one of the valiants. A lot of people didn't make it here, but you did. You are very special. Heavenly Father has confidence in you, and you should have confidence in yourself. Don't listen to Satan's lies. We aren't perfect, but we can get there one step at a time with the atonement. The atonement is sufficient. You are a child of God, and that is important. - Hope you loved it as much as I did. ❤

The event was streamed live on the LDS Youth YouTube, Facebook and Instagram channels. This allowed youth worldwide to watch the broadcast from the comfort of their own home or local Church meetinghouse.

Great afternoon with the best group of youth I could imagine. Wonderful time. #ldsface2face

Youth everywhere were encouraged to submit questions either online or through social media.

Many teens took to heart what President Eyring and Elder Holland said about receiving answers to prayer.

The two apostles inspired the youth to have better scripture study and learn more about Jesus Christ.
