Mormon Bishop

Misstatement:

"The head of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee, Mitt Romney, is a Mormon bishop."

Fact:

Mr. Romney served as a bishop years ago while residing in the Boston area. Today he teaches a Sunday School class in Park City, Utah. A bishop in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a lay leader who oversees a local congregation.
